Young at Art is a small boutique studio run by husband and wife team Susan Schaefer and Jeff Shields. Combining their talents of art, graphic design and technology, they have carved out a niche on Vancouver Island serving Artists, Realtors, Small business and non-profit organizations across three provinces.

Susan brings her talent as a fine artist and graphic designer to the mix. She exhibits her artwork, teaches classes in acrylic painting and publishes the acclaimed Island Arts Magazine.

Jeff brings his love of technology and broad experience. He took his first programming course at the age of 16 in the mid sixties. He has worked in research, government, high technology and real estate as well as driven taxi, as a plumber, in road construction, and as a college instructor. Jeff also spent many years travelling with an Indian Swami studying meditation and yoga in the seventies as a member of his staff. He still meditates regularly today.
